I happened upon this video of the Rich Eisen show in which he was interviewing the director of the movie “Hoosiers,” David Anspaugh. David talks about how Gene Hackman, who played head coach Norman Dale, didn’t really like the movie while filming it and tells a story that Hackman told Dennis Hopper that making this movie would be the end of their careers. How wrong he was!
“Hoosiers” is my favorite sports movie and Rich Eisen mentions in the video that it’s his favorite sports movie as well.
